One of them is check engine codes which allow you to look up (online) what the check engine code is. Also allows you to reset the check engine light. About $60 online only.
2018 1500 Miles, Check Engine, X Mode, RAB and Eyesight Warnings. Hey folks my practically brand new Outback has more lights than a Christmas Tree going off right now. It was having issues of turning off and back on intermittently from when I first picked it up. I have 55% tint on the windshield, and I don't see how tint that light could cause any other issues. Lol.1. Fix and Wait. The best way to clear the check engine light is to pull the trouble code, identify and fix the issue and then drive your Forester around until the module that threw the code recognizes that the problem is fixed. Found something involving turning the engine on, then the lights on, pressing the Trip switch 4 times, then do the same after lights off/lights on again and 4 Trip presses, and that was for non-Crosstreks and about 6 years ago... Did not work, but maybe there's some method now to get the codes without a scanner for a 2019 Crosstrek.
